Festivals
1. Chicago German American Fest: usually held in September
What we love: authentic German food, beer, music, and dancing
2. Square Roots Festival: usually held in July
What we love: that it’s one of the smaller street festivals with music by local folk artists
3. Lincoln Square Apple Fest: usually held in October
What we love: celebrating the beginning of fall with fresh apple cider, pies, scarves, etc

Restaurants
1. Over Easy Cafe: 4943 N Damen
What we love: who doesn’t love a good brunch spot? We especially love the dulce de leche french toast
2. Gather: 4539 N Lincoln
What we love: the walking taco. This place is ALWAYS crowded, if you don’t want to wait – try the Kitchen to Go/Walk Up area; they just have a smaller menu
3. Irazu: 1865 N Milwaukee
What we love: the casado, a classic Costa Rican dish
Things to do
1. Lillstreet Art Center: 4401 N Ravenswood
What we love: this art center has it all: galleries and a variety of classes: painting, pottery, jewelry making, metalsmithing, glass blowing, etc.
2. The Book Cellar: 4736-38 N Lincoln Ave
What we love: we mentioned this as one of our favorite places for coffee but we also love to look around in the book store. Give their book club a chance, too
3. Old Town School of Folk Music: 4544 N Lincoln
What we love: learn some new music on any instrument
